Handling Cash Payments
Process a cash transaction when a customer doesn't have a card or phone to pay with.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you're logged in and have selected your event.
- You must have the Volunteer role for this event.
- Cash payments must be enabled by the event host. If you don't see a Cash button, the host hasn't enabled cash for that feature.
Where Cash Is Available
Cash payments are available for ticket sales and concession sales only (when enabled by the host). Donations are card-only.
Processing a Cash Payment
- Build the order as usual - select tickets or concession items.
- Tap the Cash button at the bottom of the screen.
- On the checkout screen, you'll see the order total. Collect the cash from the customer.
- Tap Confirm once you've collected the cash and given any change.
The order is now complete and will appear in your order history marked as a cash payment.
Tip: Keep a small cash float ready at the start of your shift so you can make change for larger bills. Coordinate with your event host on how much starting cash to have on hand.
Receipts for Cash Payments
You can still send a receipt for cash transactions. The receipt will show "Cash" as the payment method.
