Getting Started as a Judge
Accept your invitation, log in, and find your judging assignments.
Before You Begin
- You'll need an invitation from the event host. This is typically sent via email.
- Make sure you've downloaded the Maestro app and logged in.
Accepting Your Invitation
When an event host assigns you as a judge, you'll receive an email invitation. Tap the link in the email to accept. If you already have the app installed, it will open directly to the event.
If you haven't created an account yet, the link will guide you through sign-up first, then bring you to your event.
Finding Your Assignments
Once you're logged in and have selected your event, you'll land on the judge home screen. From here you'll see:
- Your assignment - The caption and sub-captions you're responsible for.
- Schedule - The list of performances you'll be judging, in order.
- Mic Test - A quick way to verify your microphone is working before you start.
Tap any performance in the schedule to open the adjudication screen when it's time to judge.
Switching Between Events
If you're judging at more than one event, tap the event name at the top of the screen to return to the event list. Select a different event to switch.
Tip: Arrive early and use the Mic Test feature to make sure your audio setup is working before the first performance.
