Navigating the Home Screen

The home screen is your hub for everything happening at your event. What you see depends on your role.

What's on the Home Screen

After selecting an event, the home screen shows features tailored to your role. Here's what each role sees:

Registrant — Your home screen focuses on your group's performance. You'll see quick links to:

  • Schedule — View the schedule for your group.
  • Scores — View scores for your group once they're posted.
  • Commentary — Listen to judge commentary for your group.
  • Staff — View and manage your staff members (only visible if you're the registration owner).

If you're registered with more than one group at the same event, you'll see a Switch Group button to toggle between them.

Judge — Your home screen shows the captions you've been assigned to judge. Each item lists the caption name and the scoring round it belongs to. Tap any caption to start adjudicating.

Volunteer — Your home screen shows the tools you need to help run the event. Depending on what the event organizer has enabled, you may see:

  • Scan Tickets — Scan tickets as patrons arrive.
  • Sell Tickets — Sell tickets for the event.
  • Sell Concessions — Sell concessions at the event.
  • Live Stream — Stream the event to online viewers (if enabled by the host and authorized).
  • Volunteer QR Code — Share app access with other volunteers.

Not all of these will appear for every event — your organizer controls which features are active.

Top Navigation

At the top of every screen, you'll find two navigation shortcuts:

  • My Events (top left) — Tap the event name or dropdown arrow to go back to the events list and switch to a different event.
  • Chat (top right, message icon) — Jump to your event's chat conversations.
  • Settings (top right, your avatar) — Access your account settings.
