Listening to Commentary
Listen to and download judge commentary recordings for your group's performance.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you're on the registrant home screen with your event selected.
- Commentary is only available after your event host releases it. You'll receive a notification when it's ready.
How to Access Commentary
There are two ways to get to commentary:
From the home screen:
- Tap Commentary.
- You'll see recordings organized by scoring round.
- Each item shows the judge name and the caption they scored.
- Tap any item to open the audio player.
From the scores screen:
- Tap Scores, then select a scoring round.
- Find the caption you're interested in.
- Tap the play button next to the judge name to open the audio player.
Using the Audio Player
The Listen to Commentary screen shows:
- The judge's name and the caption they were scoring.
- A full audio player with play, pause, and seek controls.
You can listen to the recording as many times as you'd like.
Downloading Commentary
To save a commentary recording to your device:
- Open the audio player for the recording you want to save.
- Tap the export button in the top-right corner of the screen.
- The recording will download to your device. Once it's finished, you can share it using your device's share options.
No Commentary Available?
If you see "No commentary available," your event host hasn't released commentary yet. Pull down to refresh and check again.
Important: Commentary is released at the discretion of your event host - not automatically after each performance. If you're waiting for commentary, check with your event organizer.
