Notifications Aren't Working
If you're not receiving push notifications from the Maestro app, follow these steps to get them working again.
Make Sure Notifications Are Enabled
The most common cause is that notifications were accidentally denied or turned off.
On iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Maestro.
- Tap Notifications.
- Make sure Allow Notifications is toggled on.
On Android:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap Apps (or Apps & Notifications).
- Find and tap Maestro.
- Tap Notifications.
- Make sure notifications are toggled on.
Check Do Not Disturb
If your device is in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode, notifications from all apps - including Maestro - may be silenced. Check your device's notification settings and make sure Maestro is allowed to send notifications during these modes.
Check Your Internet Connection
Push notifications require an active internet connection. If you're in an area with poor signal or no Wi-Fi, notifications may be delayed until your connection is restored.
Scores and Commentary Not Showing Up?
Scores and judge commentary notifications are controlled by your event host. You'll only receive these after the host officially releases them - not immediately after a performance. If you haven't received a score or commentary notification yet, they may not have been released.
Important: Scores and commentary are released at the discretion of your event host. If you're waiting for results, check with your event organizer to find out when they plan to release them.
Force Close and Reopen the App
Sometimes the notification connection needs a fresh start:
- Swipe the Maestro app away from your recent apps list.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Reopen the app.
This re-establishes the notification connection with the server.
Reinstall the App
If nothing else works, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Maestro app. This resets the notification registration and often fixes persistent issues. You'll need to log in again after reinstalling.
