The App Won't Update
If the Maestro app is prompting you to update but the update isn't going through, or if you're experiencing issues after an update, here's what to try.
"Update Available" Prompt
When a new version of Maestro is available, you'll see an "Update Available" dialog with two options:
- Update Now - Takes you directly to the App Store or Google Play to download the latest version.
- Maybe Later - Dismisses the prompt so you can update when you're ready.
If tapping Update Now doesn't take you to the store, try opening the App Store or Google Play manually and searching for Maestro by Marching Maestro.
Update Not Appearing in the Store
If the app says an update is available but you don't see it in the App Store or Google Play:
- Pull to refresh the store page. App stores sometimes cache old listings.
- Check your internet connection. A weak connection can prevent the store from loading the latest version.
- Wait a few minutes. New updates can take time to roll out to all regions. Try again shortly.
Not Enough Storage
If the update fails because your device is low on storage:
- Go to your device's Settings and check available storage.
- Free up space by removing unused apps, photos, or files.
- Try the update again.
App Crashing After Update
If the app crashes or behaves unexpectedly after updating:
- Force close the app. Swipe it away from your recent apps list and reopen it.
- Restart your device. A full restart can clear temporary issues.
- Uninstall and reinstall. If the problem persists, remove the app and download it fresh from the App Store or Google Play. You'll need to log in again.
Tip: Turn on automatic updates on your device so you always have the latest version without having to check manually.
